Tau Chi Chapter, Inc. of Chi Eta Phi Incorporated
Tau Chi Chapter, Incorporated was founded on May 27, 1972 in Somerset, NJ. Twelve nurses bonded together into sisterhood at the home of Mary L. Reives to discuss how to provide “Service for Humanity”. The first nursing student scholarship was awarded in 1974 for $200 in honor of Mary L. Reives. To date, Tau Chi has awarded over $100,000 to nursing students. Tau Chi was incorporated in 2012. Members of the chapter are employed at all levels and specialties of nursing and include retired nurses and two honorary members.
