Registered Nurse - Operating Room New

RWJBarnabas Health is seeking a highly dedicated Registered Nurse for our Operating Room at the Morris Cancer Center on the New Brunswick campus!

Position Summary: The OR Nurse will provide high-quality patient care in the surgical setting, working collaboratively with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals,

This role requires a detail-oriented and proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is dedicated to improving surgical outcomes for oncology patients,

Schedule: 40 Hours per week, day shift 7:00a-3:30p,

Weekends, Holidays, and on-call requirements as assigned

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain a sterile environment in the operating room,
• Assess, plan, and implement patient care before, during, and after surgery,
• Assist surgical teams by providing necessary instruments and supplies,
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient care,
• Adhere to hospital policies and best practices in perioperative nursing,
• Document patient progress and maintain accurate medical records,

Qualifications:

• Current RN license in the state of New Jersey,
• Minimum of 1 year OR experience, or Recent graduate from Periop101 program,
• CNOR certification preferred but not required,
• BLS and ACLS certification required,
• Strong communication and organizational skills,
• Ability to work effectively in a high-pressure surgical environment,
