As an IMCU RN, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing support. You’ll play an essential role in monitoring complex conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring a smooth transition for patients between critical care and general medical-surgical units.

As an IMCU RN, you’ll provide high-quality, evidence-based care to patients requiring close observation and specialized nursing support. You’ll play an essential role in monitoring complex conditions, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team, and ensuring a smooth transition for patients between critical care and general medical-surgical units.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered nursing care following the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation).
- Monitor and manage patients with complex medical conditions.
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare professionals to develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Provide patient and family education to support recovery and ongoing health.
- Maintain safety, quality, and professional standards in all aspects of patient care.
- Valid RN license in the state of Virginia (or compact state).
- BSN or MSN preferred.
- BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
- ACLS certification required within 1 year of hire.
- Prior intermediate or critical care experience preferred.
